Well I had a similar thought midday through a definitely hard Pilates class. I was veering toward hating it and then realized hey this is just hard. It won't always be so hard, but it is kinda okay to hate it a little bit while the doing of it is still so hard. It's the keeping at it that is so hard ...
Love that you can recognize your thoughts midstream. :) I’m happy to report that now my daughter and husband are happily playing rummy. She taught him how to play. ☺️😂
Do you hate it or is it just hard? --> Since reading this today I must have asked myself this question half a dozen times. Ugh. EVERYTHING IS HARD. I HATE IT! 😂
There are days that feel that way!! Hopefully you’ve had some easier days since. :) I’m glad the question has stuck with you though. It’s good to think about, even if we don’t change our behavior. 😂
I definitely see my kid resisting doing things that are difficult and/or unfamiliar, and it's frustrating. I have tried to have her push through the discomfort in little ways when I feel like it's not too mean of me to make her keep going.
It sounds like you have a good sense of the right balance for your kiddo!! I definitely force my kids to finish anything that costs money, though sometimes that ends up being more painful for the parents than the kids. 😂
