I was wondering where you'd been, Nicci! So happy for you that you are busy and fulfilled with your news business. Can't wait to hear more about that.

So sweet to read about your son. We have 4 yo and 3 yo boys (our youngest of 5 - the older 3 are girls), and we have to go through this litany about zombies and werewolves and vampires this time of year.

Hi, hey, hello! Yeah I’ve been buried in a grave of my own making. That’s maybe not the best imagery to describe a fulfilling business that I built from thin air, but at least it’s timely and seasonable?

He’s 3.5 now and wants to play “smash and kill people” video games (and is better than me at them!) so I’m sure I’ve got a precocious one on my hands. Nice to connect. Stay tuned for later this week. You’ll very much appreciate the next one I have in the hopper.

Ahh. About 18 months ago, I started a local news publication for my town. Since then I've been growing my readership and become a trusted source in the community, and now I'm on a plane to Durham to an awards ceremony where my publication is a finalist! It will mean nothing to a non-Burlingtonian, but feel free to check out Burlington Buzz, a local news publication I started right here on Substack last February 20.

Nicci, that is fantastic! I am so so happy for you! When we spoke in August, you did mention the news publication, but I did not know you were selected for an awards ceremony as a finalist. That is well deserved. Wonderful news. Thanks for sharing.
