Wow, I had no idea you were suffering that much, and I'm so grateful you got what you needed. I've been reflecting on my generally good health this morning, and how my journey toward menopause is tame in comparison. Let's hope it stays that way, as we enter what I'm sure will be a difficult 4 years. Thank goddess you're okay! I'm glad I saw this today, I've missed your stories. 💜
Nicci, Thanks for sharing your most personal story. What an amazing journey... and thank God for modern technology!! And yes, your journey certainly mimics much of what is going on in this country and the world at large. I'm so glad you are on the other side of your adenomyosis. Many years ago I had endometriosis which was another very nasty, and debilitating condition. Keep thinking positive thoughts and thanks for sharing. You are so awesome in so many ways!!
Nicci, I am so glad you wrote about this and my heart is with you in what you are going through. I think you might know this, but I had a hysterectomy about 3.5 years ago, and I went through that level of ambivalence, too. But I can honestly tell you that it has changed my life significantly, for the better. I hope so much that you find that to be true for you, as well. When your quality of life is nothing but bleeding and pain, I mean, it's horrific. To make a choice to end that can be a life-saver, a relief.
I suspected I had adenomyosis, too, but it ended up being endometriosis that hid behind my uterine wall and was undetected by pelvic ultrasounds. I also had a cervical staph infection and mid-cycle clotting.

Best always, Sue Russell
Thanks, Sue! So glad you’re not struggling with endometriosis anymore! You’re one of my faves and I’m so happy to have you in my neighborhood!

No more period drama. It's liberating.
I am so glad you are back!
Agreed about these things changing our lives. Glad to see you here and I hope I can come back soon!
