First time reader -- I enjoyed your POV on rewatching Contact. I always thought it was a very good movie as it left a whole lot up to the viewer rather than the silver platter.
I’m glad you’re here! Thanks for the comment and for reading. ☺️ I am so bad, I always want it to be spelled out for me. But I have gotten better with age! I hope you’ll stick around and read more!!!
I am currently stepping back from posting and getting a handle on Substack Notes so will be looking for some new things to read. This was nice. When you consider the breadth of change over the last 25 years, it is remarkable when a movie holds up.

Contact is included with the Turner Classic movies?? 👱🏻♂️👴🏻💀
Fun recap/review! Love the WTFs it raised. I should check it out again. 😀
Yeah that’s the right sequence of emoji. I was like wut? I was in high school when it came out, remember it like yesterday.
Thanks for the shout, Nicci! I'm really enjoying how Notes is helping writers connect and grow together.
Thanks for being awesome and doing what you do even though it requires energy you should be able to reserve. Hugs and love 💖
