I've been afraid to watch Shrinking. I'll give it a go now.

What makes you afraid to watch it? Just curious. A good friend's husband just died (very young) and she is a therapist. I think the show would be very relevant to her but the treatment of grief and the death of a spouse is so very real that I think it would overshadow the enjoyment she might gain so soon after losing her own spouse. I am just writing tomorrow's EEE and talking about how the show makes me laugh-cry, but I do think I'm better off for having watched it even if it makes me face the grief of a couple of close recent losses.

I didn’t think the casting would work.

Oh, allow me to put your mind at rest. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s EEE where I talk about characterization.

I really enjoyed Shrinking too. Jason Segel plays that character so well. And Harrison Ford nailed his role too. Actually, I liked how all the characters were played lol

Speaking of Jason Segel, have you seen Dispatches from Elsewhere? It’s definitely different and quirky, but I loved it. I watched it once on my own and again with my wife and I enjoyed it again.

I haven’t seen that one, but maybe have heard of it? Adding to the list!

And, agreed. The characterization was really well done in Shrinking!!

Shrinking is such a good show! So fun and uplifting. And I had no idea Harrison Ford could be so funny.

If you haven't seen it yet, add Trying to your list (also Apple TV). I think you'll love it. Probably my favorite show Apple has done. Yes, more than Ted Lasso and Shrinking.

Adding now! I feel like Harrison Ford has always been funny (back to Star Wars days) but this show really highlights it.
